...coming up in Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008... ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thanksgiving is the focus ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This Sunday we focus our worship around the theme of Thanksgiving. It is a uniquely American Holiday and provides an opportunity for us to share a celebrative expression of thanks to God who is the author and sustainer of life. Many will gather around tables filled with food. For some, family gatherings will resemble a kind of reunion. Football games will play on our televisions. The ritual of the Plaza Lights will once more take place. All of these "other" things should not diminish the central focus of offering thanks to our God.
